Kays Al-Atrakchi — Composer / Producer (she/her)
Kays Al-Atrakchi is a Los Angeles-based composer and producer whose work lives at the intersection of tradition and technology, where classical form meets electronic possibility.
A cum laude graduate of Boston’s Berklee College of Music with a degree in Film Scoring, Kays emerged in the late 1990s as a defining creative presence within Florida’s film and music scene. Her foundation in classical composition, paired with an early and enduring fascination with electronic instruments, shaped a musical language that is both rooted and restless—honoring the past while reaching toward the future.
Her work is shaped by a lifelong dialogue between structure and fluidity, tradition and reinvention—bridging classical orchestration with innovative electronic textures to create emotionally rich, forward-thinking music. Drawing from a lived experience of transition and self-authorship, she translates vulnerability and resilience into sound. This hybrid approach has become her signature: music that moves fluidly between the human and the machine, the intimate and the epic.
Kays has composed critically acclaimed music for major studios including Warner Bros., Universal, Sony Pictures, and Lionsgate, as well as for networks such as ABC, NBC, Disney Channel, SyFy, Lifetime, MTV, Showtime, and Discovery Channel. Her work has also shaped worldwide campaigns for some of the industry’s most prominent advertising agencies.
Driven by an uncompromising work ethic, deep musicality, and an ongoing curiosity for new tools and technologies, Kays continues to push creative boundaries—delivering bold, visionary work that serves story, emotion, and innovation in equal measure.
